On Saturday three BLTC Under 18 players, Peter, Ashton and Finlay competed in the the Ulster Spring Closed Matchplays Qualifiers at Windsor Tennis Club, Belfast.
The boys were competing within the U18 Central region.
They really enjoyed themselves as it gave them chance to gain more match play and experience, against some of the regions best!
All the boys found the multi match format beneficial, please read some of their comments along with some of their comments below -
“Even though I lost all my matches, I played levels better than in the club champs. I was making games competitive that last week I would’ve barely got a point in. So leaving happy and ready to smash out some wins next week” (Finlay)
“They were good matches with most of them having close games.” (Peter)
“Ashton says he played really well against Ulster’s top player Isaac. Games went to deuce. He really enjoyed playing at Windsor” (Ashton’s Parent)
Well done boys for getting onto the match court and putting into practice all that you have learned during your training.
