BLTC Q & A with Sandra Zaniewska(WTA Coach)

BLTC are proud to announce that WTA coach Sandra Zaniewska will be doing a Question and Answer Session with our members. 

Sandra Zaniewska is a WTA Gold Coach. Offering unique coaching services with a professional athlete mindset approach.

Coaching Career Highlights:
• 
Started working with Petra Martic full-time less than a year after retiring as a player, Zanieska helped Martic jump from No.90 at the start of 2018 to No.15 by the end of 2019 for her first career Top 20 ranking
• Under Zaniewska, Martic had a breakout year in 2019 winning her first WTA title at Istanbul and followed it up with her best Grand Slam result by reaching the quarterfinals at Roland Garros. She later reached the final at Zhengzhou, her first final at a WTA Premier-level event and qualified for the WTA Elite Trophy in Zhuhai
• With Zaniewska, Martic compiled a 62-34 record and also reached the Round of 16 at the 2018 Australian Open, 2019 Wimbledon and 2019 US Open. 


Since July 2023 Sandra has been working with Ukrainian tennis player Marta Kostyuk, she has helped Marta reach a career high of world number 26. She was a quarter finalist at this years Australian Open losing out to Coco Gauff in 3 tight sets. 

Sandra has helped Marta reach the semi finals of Indian wells this year and the final of the San Diego Open already in 2024.

Highest WTA Doubles Ranking: 203

Zaniewska started playing professionally in 2006 on the ITF circuit, amassing a total of ten ITF singles titles and seven doubles titles. Earned career high ranking of No.142 on Aug. 27, 2012 winning three consecutive ITF titles that year as well as making her WTA main draw debut at 2012 Wimbledon earning her spot through qualifying. Later that year, earned her first WTA main draw victory over then No.164 Svitolina at Baku. Retired from playing in 2017.

She is a world class coach, and having her in BLTC’s corner and offering advice is terrific to see. Sandra recognises the work we at BLTC are doing for community tennis, offering good coaching to all members of the community, no matter age or ability.”
