BLTC Belfast and District Tennis League Success
Ballymena Lawn Tennis Club are incredibly proud of our Junior and Senior Members who brought home silverware to the club throughout the 2023 season.
The Under 18 Boys B Team won Division 3 of the BnD Juvenile League. Well done to Finlay, Seb, Lewis, Ryan and Archie who secured 4 wins and 1 draw throughout the season.
In June the boys attended the Juvenile awards presentation which was held at The Belfast Boat Club where they got presented with their plaque and medals.
The Senior Club brought home 2 trophies this season.
Firstly in June they won Division 6 of the Mixed League, where they were undefeated winning all 7 of their matches. Congratulations to Nick, Valerie, Alan, Jayne, David A, Sarah G, Csaba, Judith, Derek, Mary and Mike who all contributed to this team.
In September we then won the Intermediate Knockout Cup beating Banbridge, CIYMS and Ballynafeigh. Well done to Barry, Pol, Alan, Nick and Csaba for contributing wins in this event. This was the first time BLTC had won this trophy since 1983, when we were formally known as "AppleTee".
8 BLTC members attended the Belfast and District Tennis League Dinner on Friday 20th October at Royal Belfast Golf Club where they collected their awards. It was a great evening had by all the members, and it topped off a great season for the club.
We are now eager to add even more silverware to our collection in 2024!
