Ballymena LTC Junior House System Launch
Ballymena LTC Junior House System Launch
Last weekend the club launched their junior house system on Friday and Saturday.
Junior members were put into their houses and then competed in a variety of timed matches, using a continuous tiebreak format, in singles, doubles and mixed.
58 juniors participated over the two days, where they looked to gain points for their houses.
The house names are as follows:-
🎾 Cahill
🎾 Crooks
🎾 Parke
🎾 Rice
The above houses are named after famous Irish tennis players.
Every point they won during their matches accounted for a point for their house.
Juniors also had off court challenges to complete where the winners gained additional points. These included wall rallies and wall volleys. The activities were differentiated for the player and their level and confidence.
At the end of each session juniors were celebrated for showing character traits which are important both on and off the court. This follows the clubs evolution programme.
Players gained points for their house for showing the following -
✔️ Respect
✔️ Endeavour
✔️Competitive Spirit
